Co-Production

Many countries and states now see the advantges that fim production can bring to their region not only is there the benefit from the direct spend on the production, but there is also the downstream advantages to the local economy as well as the proven advantages in film tourism.

As a result of this many countries have now structured diffferent financial incentives to attract producers, including tax credits, perferential loans and other benefits.

In the current economic climate being able to structure your production to take advantage of as many of these tax benefits as possible is obviously very advantageous, but it is not an easy task.

Certain territories have requirements that may not be compatible with others and the practicalitles of the logistics of co-production can be a minefield in themselves.

We have a vast experience in structuring such co-production deals having produced films in Canada, Luxembourg, Sweden and Norway amongst others.

We have also acted as co-producers for foreign producers not only ensuring that the projects qualified for the UK tax incentives, but also identiying other sources of public money.
