360 Degrees Media have been consulting with Mike Batt’s Dramatico Media, on a strategy to finance and re-launch the iconic heritage children’s brand The Wombles .

360 Degrees Media are developing a ‘360’ degree strategy to leverage the value in the dormant brand ensuring that all aspects of the brand are commercialized in both traditional avenues, as well as through convergent media content and brand extension licensing.

Based on the children’s books of Elizabeth Beresford the BBC’s stop frame animations of the 1970’s soon became one of the most loved and enduring Children’s TV properties of the period. In addition to the very successful range of merchandise, Mike Batt wrote, sang and produced 8 top 40 UK singles and 4 Gold albums.

A TV series is in development that although sensitive to the original core values of the brand, delivers a contemporary twist, both for new audiences and the many consumers for whom the brand still has resonance.

360 wishes a welcome back to The Wombles, who have never been more relevant and with their Green message, tap into the current zeitgeist and socio-economic climate.
